About the Role

We're looking for French language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems built for French learners and speakers. Your linguistic insight and teaching experience will directly shape how AI understands, assesses, and communicates in French — making a real impact on language education technology at scale.

  • Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
  • Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
  • Apply expert judgment to identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps
  • Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and pedagogically sound French
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
  • Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts

Who You Are

  • Native or near-native fluency in French
  • Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language (formal or informal)
  • Strong written communication skills in both French and English (C1/C2)
  • Solid familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns
  • Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience in language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
  • Familiarity with AI-powered language tools or educational technology
  • Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
