About the Role
AI is only as good as the experts who train it. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build frontier AI systems — and we need cloud security practitioners who understand how real infrastructure fails.
This is your opportunity to put your hands-on cloud experience to work shaping how AI reasons about security incidents, misconfigurations, and risk — before those gaps end up in production systems.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week (flexible)
What You'll Do
- Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns
- Review and evaluate IAM policies, network configurations, storage permissions, and container security setups
- Classify security gaps and vulnerabilities based on real-world impact and blast radius
- Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
- Help build datasets and evaluations that make AI smarter about cloud infrastructure security
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
- Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across one or more major cloud platforms
- Familiar with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, and how they escalate
- Able to clearly articulate blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
- Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, Azure Defender)
- Background in cloud penetration testing, incident response, or security engineering
- Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud, or CSA CCM
- Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or equivalent
