About the Role
What if your eye for detail and your way with words could directly influence how AI understands the visual world? We're looking for Image Description Specialists to write rich, accurate descriptions of images that teach AI systems to see, interpret, and communicate visual content the way humans do.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong observational skills and a clear writing style. No photography, art, or AI background required — just a sharp eye and a commitment to quality.

What You'll Do
- Write detailed, accurate descriptions of images spanning a wide range of types — photos, illustrations, diagrams, charts, and more
- Identify and describe key visual elements including objects, people, scenes, actions, colors, and spatial relationships
- Follow structured guidelines to ensure consistent format, depth, and quality
- Maintain high accuracy and reliability across large batches of image tasks
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Strong observational skills — you notice the details others miss
- Clear, descriptive writing ability with natural attention to precision
- Comfortable working through structured, task-based assignments
- Reliable and consistent when maintaining quality over time
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- No photography, art, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in writing, editing, journalism, or communications
- Experience with accessibility work, such as writing alt text or image captions
- Familiarity with visual content across scientific, creative, or technical domains
