About the Role

We're looking for Masters and PhD-level researchers to work alongside leading AI labs — designing and solving the kinds of complex, multi-disciplinary problems that push AI to its intellectual limits.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want meaningful, high-impact work on their own schedule. No prior AI industry experience needed — your academic depth and research instincts are exactly what we're looking for.

What You'll Do
- Design, solve, and critically review advanced problems across STEM and other highly technical academic domains
- Apply your research expertise to create complex, real-world problem statements that challenge and sharpen AI reasoning capabilities
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance across disciplines
- Uphold academic rigor, clarity, and analytical depth in every deliverable
- Contribute to cutting-edge AI training projects that have a direct impact on how next-generation models think and perform
Who You Are
- Hold a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a top university
- Have a strong track record in research, publications, or complex technical project work
- Exceptional written and verbal communicator with a sharp eye for precision and detail
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
- Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or model evaluation
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
- Background spanning multiple disciplines or applied research domains
- Familiarity with AI tools, benchmarks, or evaluation frameworks
