About the Role
We're looking for experienced development economists to help shape how AI understands global and development economics. What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate development economics questions, answers, and explanations used in AI training datasets
- Assess the quality of AI-generated reasoning on topics like economic growth, poverty, inequality, and global development
- Identify factual errors, logical gaps, and missing contextual nuance in AI outputs
- Provide clear, structured feedback to improve the accuracy and depth of AI-generated economic content
- Apply your academic or real-world experience to validate complex economic scenarios and policy discussions
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience teaching, researching, or working in development economics
- Strong understanding of global economic issues, development theory, and data interpretation
- Able to critically evaluate written economic reasoning and identify subtle errors or oversimplifications
- Comfortable working with structured review tasks and providing detailed written feedback
- Self-motivated and reliable with the ability to manage your own schedule
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics or a closely related field
- Experience working with NGOs, international development organizations, or economic policy institutions
- Field research or policy implementation experience in developing economies
- Familiarity with AI systems, content evaluation, or data annotation workflows
