We're looking for a Principal Clinical Scientist to bring senior-level clinical and regulatory knowledge into cutting-edge AI development. You'll work with Alignerr — a team that partners with the world's leading AI research labs — to ensure that AI models handling clinical data meet the rigorous standards of real-world regulatory science.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just deep clinical expertise and a sharp eye for scientific quality.

What You'll Do
- Design and review clinical trial protocols used to generate high-quality, regulator-ready training datasets for AI systems
- Interpret and audit clinical trial results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory relevance
- Evaluate AI-generated clinical analyses for scientific soundness and alignment with regulatory expectations from agencies such as the FDA, EMA, or equivalent
- Provide expert, structured feedback that helps AI models reason more accurately about clinical trial data, outcomes, and evidence
- Flag errors, inconsistencies, and methodological gaps in AI-generated clinical content
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Senior-level experience designing and reviewing clinical trial protocols for regulatory submission
- Deep expertise interpreting clinical data for major regulatory agencies (FDA, EMA, or equivalent)
- Strong background in clinical research methodology, biostatistics, or translational science
- Naturally rigorous and detail-oriented — you hold clinical content to the highest standards
- Comfortable evaluating scientific reasoning and providing clear, structured written feedback
- No prior AI or tech experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
- Background in pharmacology, medical affairs, or clinical operations
- Familiarity with AI tools or scientific content evaluation workflows
- Experience spanning multiple therapeutic areas or regulatory jurisdictions
