About the Role

We're looking for Biology experts with Masters or PhD-level credentials to help build and refine cutting-edge AI models — ensuring they think with the rigor and depth that real science demands.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and domain experts who want to apply their knowledge in a high-impact, forward-looking way. No prior AI experience needed — your scientific expertise is what matters.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design complex, rigorous problem sets
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning and accuracy
- Ensure scientific depth, clarity, and integrity across all deliverables
- Work independently on your own schedule — fully asynchronous and remote
Who You Are
- Holder of a Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.)
- Proficient in Python or R for research or data analysis purposes
- Deep subject matter expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or an adjacent discipline
- Exceptionally clear communicator — both in writing and scientific reasoning
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to scientific accuracy and intellectual rigor
- Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Background in peer review, academic publishing, or scientific curriculum design
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language model evaluation
- Experience spanning multiple biology sub-disciplines
