- Define and enforce data policies covering classification, access controls, security protocols, and metadata standards across research, clinical, regulatory, and partner teams
- Enable secure, governed access to data for analytics, innovation initiatives, and external collaborations — while rigorously protecting confidential and patient-related information
- Identify gaps in data quality, compliance posture, and governance coverage, and recommend practical solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to align data standards, workflows, and best practices
- Support AI training pipelines with well-structured, trustworthy biotech and clinical data
Who You Are
- Experienced in leading or implementing data governance programs within biotech, life sciences, clinical research, or other regulated data environments
- Deep understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements relevant to research and clinical trial data (e.g., HIPAA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11)
- Comfortable translating complex regulatory and technical requirements into actionable governance frameworks
- Skilled at working across diverse teams — scientists, IT professionals, compliance officers, and business leads — to drive alignment
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and capable of maintaining high data quality standards under real-world constraints
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training data workflows
- Familiarity with clinical data management systems (EDC, CTMS, LIMS) or regulatory submission platforms
- Background in bioinformatics, clinical data science, or health informatics
- Experience with metadata management frameworks or data cataloguing tools
