About the Role

We're looking for chemistry experts to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models being developed by the world's leading AI research labs. Your deep domain knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex chemistry problems — from undergraduate fundamentals to advanced graduate-level concepts.

No AI experience required. If you can think rigorously about chemistry, you're already qualified.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design challenging, high-quality chemistry problems to test the limits of AI reasoning across domains like chemical engineering, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and more
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic and detailed explanations
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth of reasoning, and overall quality
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics
  • Provide structured, constructive feedback that helps improve AI model performance

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
  • Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI or data annotation experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or quality review workflows
