About the Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more technically rigorous AI models — and we need electrical engineers to make it happen. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems, from circuit analysis to control systems to signal processing.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing schedule. Whether you're a grad student, a working engineer, or a recently graduated EE, your technical knowledge has real value here.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design challenging problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and embedded systems to stress-test AI performance
- Write ground-truth solutions — Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning
- Audit AI outputs — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical derivations for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
- Improve AI reasoning — Identify logical gaps or flaws in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
Who You Are
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field (Master's — pursuing or completed — or PhD)
- Strong domain knowledge in one or more core EE areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, signal processing, or embedded systems
- Clear technical communicator — you can explain complex engineering concepts in precise, well-structured written form
- Detail-oriented — you catch errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss
- No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
- Background in academic research or engineering standards review
