About the Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and responds to millions of real people? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with authentic South African English accents to participate in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.
This is a unique, well-compensated contract opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI development — your voice helping teach AI systems to understand natural human speech the way real South Africans actually talk.
Important: This project does not involve voice cloning. Your recordings are used solely to improve AI speech comprehension.

- Location: Professional recording studio (locally assigned in South Africa)
What You'll Do
- Record natural, conversational South African English speech in a professional studio environment
- Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue conversations
- Deliver realistic, human-sounding dialogue that feels unscripted and authentic
- Follow light direction from session leads to vary tone, pacing, and delivery style
- Bring your genuine South African accent and natural speech patterns to every session
Who You Are
- A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with recorded experience
- A native or near-native South African English speaker — your accent is the asset
- Currently based in South Africa
- Comfortable in a studio environment and receptive to direction
- Reliable, professional, and easy to work with
- Fluent in English for communication and session participation
Nice to Have
- Acting or performance background
- Experience in broadcast, podcasting, audiobooks, or commercial voice-over work
- Prior studio recording experience in a professional setting
