About the Role
We're looking for development economists to help shape how AI understands global and development economics. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy, depth, and nuance of AI systems tackling some of the world's most complex economic questions — from inequality and poverty reduction to international trade and growth theory.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your subject-matter knowledge makes a real difference.

What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated development economics questions, explanations, and analyses for accuracy and depth
- Assess AI reasoning on topics such as economic growth, poverty, inequality, global trade, and international development
- Provide structured, expert feedback to improve factual accuracy and contextual nuance
- Apply real-world or academic knowledge to validate economic scenarios and case studies
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience researching, teaching, or working in development economics
- Strong command of global economic issues, development frameworks, and data interpretation
- Able to critically evaluate written economic reasoning and identify errors or gaps
- Comfortable working with structured, task-based review assignments
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines independently
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics or a closely related field
- Experience in field research, NGO work, or international economic policy
- Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
