We're looking for experienced development economists to help shape how AI understands global economics. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy, nuance, and reasoning quality of next-generation AI systems — making a real impact on how these tools engage with some of the world's most complex and consequential topics.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role powered by Alignerr (powered by Labelbox), working alongside leading AI research teams.

What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated content covering development and global economics for accuracy and depth
- Assess economic reasoning related to growth, poverty, inequality, and international development
- Provide structured, critical feedback to improve the quality and contextual nuance of AI outputs
- Apply your real-world or academic experience to validate complex economic scenarios and arguments
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments that fit your schedule
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience teaching, researching, or working in development economics
- Strong command of global economic issues, development theory, and data interpretation
- Able to evaluate and critique written economic reasoning clearly and rigorously
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable with structured review workflows
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics or a closely related field
- Experience in field research, NGO work, or international economic policy
- Familiarity with AI systems, content evaluation, or data annotation workflows
