Senior Social Media Analyst – Media, Advertising & Entertainment
$45-65/hrRemoteFreelanceGENERAL
About the Role
What if your ability to decode social data could directly shape the campaigns reaching millions of fans, viewers, and consumers across the media and entertainment landscape? We're looking for a Senior Social Media Analyst to lead advanced analytics and deliver the strategic insights that drive smarter decisions for high-profile campaigns.
This is a fully remote contract role built for an experienced analyst who thrives on turning raw data into clear, compelling narratives — and who knows how to make social performance metrics matter to stakeholders at every level.
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Industry: Media, Advertising & Entertainment
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end social analytics across multiple platforms — including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), and Facebook
- Build and deliver performance reports that go beyond vanity metrics — surfacing actionable insights that inform campaign strategy
- Track KPIs, identify trends, and translate data into clear recommendations for creative, media, and strategy teams
- Design and maintain dashboards that give stakeholders real-time visibility into campaign performance
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and audience analysis to inform positioning and content decisions
- Monitor campaign pacing and performance in real time, flagging opportunities and risks proactively
- Present findings to internal and client-facing teams with clarity and confidence
Who You Are
- Experienced social media analyst with a strong background in media, advertising, or entertainment campaigns
- Deep familiarity with native platform analytics tools as well as third-party platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Tableau, or similar)
- Skilled at turning complex datasets into clear, persuasive insights and reports
- Strong communicator — equally comfortable writing a detailed data memo or presenting live to a senior stakeholder
- Highly organized and self-directed — you manage your own workload and deadlines without hand-holding
- Comfortable working across multiple concurrent campaigns or client accounts
Nice to Have
- Experience working with entertainment brands, studios, networks, or media agencies
- Familiarity with paid social reporting and its intersection with organic performance
- Background in audience segmentation, sentiment analysis, or social listening
- Experience building executive-level reporting decks and data storytelling
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI)
Why This Role
- Work on high-visibility campaigns in one of the most dynamic corners of the industry — media and entertainment
- Fully remote and flexible — structure your work around your life, not the other way around
- Senior-level contract work with real strategic impact, not just report generation
- Collaborate with creative and media professionals who value data-driven decision-making
- Potential for extended contract and ongoing engagement as campaigns evolve
