About the Role
What if your mastery of C++ could directly shape the infrastructure powering the next generation of AI? We're looking for senior C++ engineers to build and optimize the high-performance systems, data pipelines, and evaluation tooling that leading AI labs depend on — working on real production code with tangible, measurable impact.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role for engineers who know how to write fast, clean, production-grade C++ and want to do meaningful work at the frontier of AI development.

What You'll Do
- Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems supporting large-scale AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows
- Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for data annotation, validation, and quality control at scale
- Improve reliability, performance, and safety across existing production C++ codebases
- Identify bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior — then implement scalable, robust fixes
- Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows
- Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on system architecture and implementation decisions
Who You Are
- Native or fluent English speaker with clear written and verbal communication skills
- Full-stack developer with a strong systems programming background
- 5+ years of professional experience writing production C++ — preferably modern C++17 or C++20
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, SIMD intrinsics, and cache coherency to optimize compute-heavy workloads
- Experienced with lock-free programming and maximizing parallelism using threading libraries
- Able to commit 20–40 hours per week consistently
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality pipelines, or evaluation systems
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, model training, or benchmarking infrastructure
- Experience with distributed systems or developer tooling
