About the Role

What if your expertise in genomic and clinical data could directly shape how AI understands human health — influencing the next generation of personalized medicine tools used by researchers and clinicians worldwide?

We're looking for a Precision Medicine Data Lead to help us build and evaluate AI systems that work with complex healthcare and life sciences data. You'll bring your domain knowledge to bear on real problems — ensuring that the AI models we develop are grounded in scientific rigor, clinical relevance, and data integrity.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for experienced professionals in genomics, clinical informatics, or health data analytics. Work on your schedule, contribute meaningfully, and help define how AI navigates one of the most consequential domains in modern science.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design, evaluate, and optimize approaches for integrating genomic, clinical, and biomarker data into unified analytics frameworks
  • Lead analytical strategies that translate complex, multi-modal healthcare datasets into actionable, AI-ready insights
  • Assess AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, clinical relevance, and data quality across precision medicine use cases
  • Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and technical teams to align data strategy with real-world healthcare goals
  • Apply expertise in data governance and regulatory considerations to ensure outputs meet the standards of a highly sensitive domain
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Who You Are

  • Experienced working with large-scale genomic, clinical, or life sciences datasets in analytics, research, or data leadership roles
  • Strong background in data integration, data governance, and translating complex scientific data into meaningful insights
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with clinical, research, and engineering teams in regulated or technically rigorous environments
  • Detail-oriented, systematic, and confident evaluating the quality and accuracy of AI-generated scientific content
  • Self-directed and reliable when working independently on asynchronous, task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with clinical decision support systems, EHR platforms, or biomedical ontologies
  • Background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or health informatics
  • Experience working in or adjacent to regulated healthcare or research environments (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, IRB contexts)

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, domain-specific work
  • Contribute directly to how AI interprets and advances precision medicine at scale
  • Gain exposure to advanced large language models and how they're trained on expert scientific knowledge
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
