About the Role
We're looking for development economists to help shape how AI understands global and development economics. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy, nuance, and reliability of AI systems tackling some of the world's most complex economic challenges — from inequality and poverty to growth, trade, and international development.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that fits around your existing schedule.

What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate development economics questions, answers, and explanations used in AI training datasets
- Assess the quality of AI-generated reasoning on topics such as economic growth, poverty, inequality, trade, and global development policy
- Identify factual errors, logical gaps, and oversimplifications in AI-generated economic content
- Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve accuracy, depth, and contextual nuance
- Apply your academic or real-world experience to validate economic scenarios and case studies
- Work independently and asynchronously — no set hours, no meetings required
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in development economics through teaching, research, policy, or field work
- Strong understanding of global economic issues, development frameworks, and data interpretation
- Ability to critically evaluate written economic reasoning with clarity and precision
- Comfortable working with structured review tasks and following evaluation guidelines
- Self-motivated and reliable in an independent, remote work environment
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field
- Experience working with NGOs, international institutions, or development agencies
- Background in field research or international economic policy
- Prior familiarity with AI content evaluation or data labeling workflows
