About the Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for mathematicians who want to do meaningful, intellectually engaging work on their own schedule. No AI background required — just a strong command of advanced mathematics and a commitment to quality.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance and complexity
- Apply your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas to design rigorous problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, depth, and clarity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen model performance
- Ensure mathematical rigor, precision, and depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments entirely on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Holds a Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
- Comfortable coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or problem-solving
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong analytical and written communication skills
- Fluent in English and self-motivated when working independently
- No prior AI or machine learning experience required — training support will be provided
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Background in academic research, technical writing, or curriculum development
- Familiarity with mathematical proof-writing and formal problem construction
- Experience working across multiple mathematical subfields
