About the Role

We're looking for electrical engineering professionals to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI understands and solves complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing to control systems.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your technical knowledge creates real impact on the next generation of AI.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, and electromagnetics to rigorously test AI performance
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI learning
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC)
  • Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps or errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured feedback to help models think more reliably
  • Work Independently — Complete assignments asynchronously on a schedule that works for you

Who You Are

  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for mathematical and logical accuracy
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, SPICE, Simulink)
  • Background in robotics, signal processing, or engineering standards compliance

Why Join Us

  • Work on frontier AI projects alongside leading research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
  • Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
  • Exposure to advanced large language models and how they're built
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
