About the Role
What if your instinct for messaging, your command of editorial structure, and your ability to turn a blank roadmap into a cohesive content engine could be put to work in a fully remote, high-autonomy contract role?
We're looking for a Senior Content Strategist to lead strategic content planning and editorial execution across our marketing function. This isn't a role for order-takers — it's for experienced strategists who can own the full content lifecycle, from shaping messaging frameworks to delivering polished, high-impact marketing materials.
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Fully Remote
- Level: Senior
What You'll Do
- Own and manage end-to-end content roadmaps aligned to marketing goals and business priorities
- Develop and refine messaging frameworks that clearly communicate value across channels and audiences
- Lead editorial planning and execution — from ideation through to final delivery
- Produce and guide the creation of high-impact marketing materials including campaign copy, thought leadership, web content, and more
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure content is consistent, on-brand, and strategically sound
- Apply data-informed thinking to continuously improve content performance and audience engagement
- Work independently and asynchronously in a fully remote environment — managing your own priorities and deadlines
Who You Are
- Proven experience in content strategy, editorial planning, or content marketing at a senior level
- Strong command of messaging architecture — you know how to build frameworks that scale
- Exceptional writer and editor with an eye for clarity, tone, and impact
- Comfortable owning a content roadmap independently without heavy direction
- Strategic thinker who can connect content decisions to broader marketing and business objectives
- Highly organized and self-directed — you thrive when given autonomy and responsibility
- Experienced working in remote, asynchronous environments
Nice to Have
- Background in B2B or B2C marketing strategy at a fast-moving company or agency
- Experience developing content for multiple formats — long-form, social, email, video scripts, and more
- Familiarity with content performance metrics and SEO best practices
- Prior experience managing or mentoring content teams or freelance writers
- Exposure to brand strategy, demand generation, or product marketing
Why This Role
- Fully remote — work from wherever you do your best thinking
- Senior-level contract with real ownership and creative latitude
- Flexible engagement structure — work that fits around your life
- High-visibility work with direct impact on marketing outcomes
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension based on performance
