About the Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and communicates with millions of Australians? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with authentic Australian accents to take part in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.
This is a contract role for experienced voice performers based in Australia. Your recordings will help train AI systems to better understand natural human speech — making technology smarter and more human for everyone.
Important: This project does not involve voice cloning. Your voice will be used solely to improve AI speech comprehension.

What You'll Do
- Record natural, conversational Australian English speech in a professional studio environment
- Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings
- Deliver realistic, unscripted-sounding dialogue with varied tone, pace, and delivery
- Take light direction from session producers to shape your performance
- Bring authenticity — the goal is real, human-sounding speech, not polished broadcast reads
Who You Are
- A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with hands-on recording experience
- A native or near-native Australian English speaker with a genuine, natural accent
- Currently based in Australia
- Comfortable performing natural dialogue and conversation — not just scripted narration
- Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction in a session environment
- Fluent in English at a working communication level
Nice to Have
- Background in acting, theatre, or performance
- Experience in broadcast, podcast production, or prior studio recording work
- Comfort with improvisation or naturalistic dialogue delivery
