About the Role
We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need security professionals who know how vulnerabilities actually work in the real world.
This isn't a theoretical exercise. You'll work with realistic scenarios that mirror how security teams discover, prioritize, and remediate risk across modern infrastructure. Your expertise will directly shape how AI reasons about cybersecurity — making these systems more accurate, nuanced, and trustworthy.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
- Classify severity, impact, exploitability, and appropriate remediation strategies
- Evaluate patching, mitigation, and remediation decision-making scenarios for real-world accuracy
- Generate, label, and validate security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Apply your practitioner knowledge to help AI distinguish between theoretical risk and what actually matters in production
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Familiar with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC)
- You understand the gap between a scanner report and a real remediation priority — and can articulate why
- Clear, structured analytical thinker who can explain security decisions in plain language
- Comfortable working independently and asynchronously
Nice to Have
- Experience with exposure management platforms (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, etc.)
- Background in cloud or hybrid infrastructure security
- Familiarity with threat intelligence or attack surface management
- Prior experience contributing to AI, data labeling, or annotation projects
Why Join Us
