About the Role
We're looking for physics experts to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep understanding of physical principles will directly shape how AI reasons through complex problems — from undergraduate fundamentals to graduate-level challenges.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own schedule and contribute as much or as little as your availability allows.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design rigorous, advanced physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise, logical reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
- Identify gaps, errors, and weaknesses in AI outputs and provide structured feedback
- Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or holding a Masters degree (or higher) in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple advanced physics domains
- Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to scientific rigor
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, content evaluation, or quality assurance
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
