About the Role
We're looking for Japanese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Japanese-language content. Your linguistic and cultural insight will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and communicates in Japanese — making a real impact on one of the world's most nuanced and complex languages.

What You'll Do
- Review AI-generated Japanese content for linguistic accuracy, tone, and natural flow
- Identify issues related to formality levels (keigo), register, idioms, and cultural context
- Suggest culturally appropriate and idiomatic alternatives where needed
- Provide structured, written feedback to improve overall localization quality
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Native or near-native fluency in Japanese
- Strong written communication skills in both Japanese and English
- Deep understanding of Japanese cultural norms, social registers, and linguistic nuance
- Experience adapting or evaluating content for Japanese audiences
- Comfortable evaluating written language quality at scale
- Attention to detail and consistency
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in translation, localization, or content adaptation
- Familiarity with AI or language evaluation workflows
- Experience with regional Japanese language variation or dialect awareness
