Hospital Health Data Governance Lead

$40-80/hrRemoteFreelanceSTEM

About the Role

What if your deep expertise in hospital data governance could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about healthcare — influencing systems that will support clinical decisions, regulatory compliance, and patient safety at scale?

We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on complex healthcare data. Your domain knowledge will help ensure AI understands what good data governance looks like in a real hospital environment — accurate, compliant, secure, and clinically meaningful.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just a strong command of healthcare data governance and a sharp eye for quality.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated content related to hospital data governance frameworks, policies, and clinical data workflows
  • Assess outputs for accuracy, compliance alignment, and real-world applicability across clinical, operational, and regulatory contexts
  • Identify gaps, errors, or misalignments with established healthcare data standards and best practices
  • Apply your knowledge of cross-functional governance — spanning clinical, IT, compliance, and leadership stakeholders — to provide structured, expert feedback
  • Flag content that misrepresents HIPAA requirements, data security protocols, or health information management principles
  • Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations within a hospital or health system
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks — particularly HIPAA
  • Familiar with cross-functional collaboration across clinical, technical, and administrative teams
  • Detail-oriented and consistent — you notice when something doesn't meet the standard
  • Able to evaluate complex governance scenarios and articulate clear, well-reasoned feedback
  • No prior AI or tech experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality programs, or clinical data evaluation systems
  • Background in health information management (HIM), clinical informatics, or healthcare compliance
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), or health analytics platforms
  • Prior work in hospital accreditation, audit readiness, or regulatory reporting

  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
  • Contribute to AI development that could shape the future of safe, trustworthy healthcare data systems
