About the Role
We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help train and refine cutting-edge AI models on advanced scientific topics. Your expertise will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex biochemistry — from protein folding and enzyme kinetics to metabolic flux and molecular genetics.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role working alongside world-leading AI research teams. No prior AI experience required — your scientific depth is what matters.

What You'll Do
- Design Complex Problems — Create advanced biochemistry challenges across areas like proteomics, nucleic acid chemistry, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI scientific reasoning
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy and scientific integrity
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors such as incorrect stoichiometry or misapplied stereochemistry, and provide structured feedback to improve how the model thinks through life science problems
- Work Independently — Complete task-based assignments asynchronously on a schedule that works for you
Who You Are
- Advanced Degree: PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
- Domain Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge in structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or related areas
- Clear Communicator: Able to explain highly technical biological and chemical concepts in precise, well-structured written form
- Detail-Oriented: High level of precision when reviewing complex chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols
- No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic peer review
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
- Background in bioinformatics or cheminformatics
