About the Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for PhD-level biologists who want to contribute to something genuinely frontier — no AI background required.

What You'll Do
- Design advanced, PhD-level biology questions to rigorously test AI reasoning and scientific understanding
- Develop detailed, step-by-step solutions grounded in scientific logic and best practices
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for factual accuracy, depth of reasoning, and overall quality
- Collaborate with research teams to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate through doctoral-level biology topics
- Cover a broad range of domains — from molecular biology and genetics to biochemistry, cell biology, ecology, and beyond
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
- Strong scientific reasoning skills with the ability to tackle complex, multi-step biological problems
- Able to communicate advanced concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented and consistent — you hold your work to a high standard
- Comfortable providing structured, critical feedback on scientific content
- No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience in data annotation, data quality evaluation, or benchmark development
- Background in research, academic publishing, or science communication
- Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation as an end user
- Expertise spanning multiple subfields of biology or interdisciplinary life sciences
