About the Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more capable AI systems — and we need security practitioners who know what vulnerability management looks like in the real world.
This isn't a theoretical exercise. You'll work with realistic scenarios drawn from actual security operations: CVEs, scanner outputs, patching decisions, risk prioritization, and remediation tradeoffs. Your expertise will directly shape how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity risk.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and application environments
- Classify severity, exploitability, business impact, and appropriate remediation strategies
- Evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk-acceptance decisions in realistic operational contexts
- Generate, label, and validate security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Apply your real-world judgment to help AI distinguish theoretical risk from what actually matters in production
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Familiar with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (CVSS, EPSS, or similar)
- Comfortable reasoning about the gap between textbook risk and operational reality
- Clear, structured, and analytical thinker who can communicate security concepts in writing
- Self-motivated and able to work independently on asynchronous, task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with exposure management platforms (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar)
- Background in cloud infrastructure security or application vulnerability assessment
- Familiarity with threat intelligence and exploit landscape analysis
- Prior work in security consulting, red/blue team operations, or SOC environments
