About the Role
What if your years of advanced mathematical training could directly shape how AI reasons through complex problems for millions of people around the world? We're looking for Mathematics Specialists with Masters or PhD-level expertise to help build and refine the reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI models.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work asynchronously alongside world-class AI research teams — applying your deep mathematical knowledge to problems that genuinely push the frontier of what AI can do.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance and rigorous depth
- Design complex problem statements spanning algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas
- Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, clarity, and logical soundness
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen model performance
- Ensure mathematical precision and intellectual depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments entirely on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
- Proficient in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or applied problem-solving
- Exceptionally detail-oriented — you catch errors others miss and care about getting things exactly right
- Clear and precise written communicator who can explain complex ideas with confidence
- Currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, or computational research
- Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation as an end user
- Prior experience in academic publishing, technical writing, or curriculum development
