Nursing Informatics Specialist

$35-80/hrRemoteFreelanceSTEM

About the Role

Your clinical experience is more valuable than you think — beyond the bedside. We're looking for Nursing Informatics Specialists to help evaluate and improve AI systems being trained on healthcare and clinical content. You'll bring your real-world nursing knowledge to ensure AI understands clinical workflows, EHR systems, and patient care documentation the way a seasoned nurse does.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of frontline nursing practice and cutting-edge AI development — on your own schedule, from anywhere.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated clinical content, nursing workflows, and EHR-related outputs for accuracy, completeness, and real-world applicability
  • Identify gaps, errors, or unrealistic assumptions in how AI represents nursing practice and health informatics
  • Provide structured feedback on clinical documentation quality, terminology, and workflow logic
  • Translate your hands-on nursing experience into clear, actionable insights that improve AI outputs
  • Review and assess content related to EHR systems, patient safety, and clinical decision-making
  • Work independently and asynchronously — no set hours or schedules

Who You Are

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with experience in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows and nursing informatics principles
  • Able to critically evaluate content and communicate feedback clearly in writing
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI or tech experience required — your nursing knowledge is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience in clinical informatics, health IT, or a nursing informatics role
  • Background in data annotation, quality review, or clinical auditing
  • Familiarity with data quality or evaluation frameworks in healthcare settings
  • Exposure to telehealth, digital health tools, or clinical decision support systems

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and AI teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work at your own pace
  • Contribute meaningfully to AI that will impact real-world healthcare delivery
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
