$35-60/hrRemoteFreelanceCODING

About the Role

We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build the next generation of security-aware AI systems — and we need practitioners who've seen real threats up close.

As a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst, you'll bring your hands-on experience to one of the most impactful frontiers in tech: training AI to understand how enterprise security actually works. Your knowledge of firewalls, EDR, SIEMs, and real-world incident response will directly shape how AI models reason about threats, misconfigurations, and control failures.

This is a flexible, remote contract role. Work on your schedule, on your terms.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios drawn from modern enterprise environments
  • Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine what went wrong and why
  • Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational context
  • Create, label, and validate security datasets used to train and evaluate cutting-edge AI systems
  • Clearly articulate root causes, attacker behavior, and business impact in structured formats

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
  • Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise tooling
  • Strong understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues clearly — in writing, for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working asynchronously

Nice to Have

  • Experience with incident response, threat hunting, or red/blue team operations
  • Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
  • Background in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Prior experience with AI, data labeling, or evaluation workflows

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI projects with top-tier research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — choose your own hours and workload
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Meaningful work that puts your security expertise at the cutting edge of AI development
