This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong attention to detail and a good ear. No professional transcription experience required.

What You'll Do

  • Transcribe audio recordings accurately into written text following provided style guidelines
  • Handle a variety of accents, speaking speeds, and audio quality levels with care
  • Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and speaker labeling rules
  • Flag unclear or inaudible segments and note speaker changes where relevant
  • Meet quality standards and turnaround targets across batches of work
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Strong active listening skills and a sharp ear for detail
  • Good typing speed and accuracy
  • Patient and thorough when working through challenging audio
  • Able to follow detailed transcription guidelines consistently
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
  • No prior transcription or AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with transcription tools or platforms
  • Familiarity with diverse accents or dialects
  • Background in journalism, media, linguistics, or administrative work
